In Aid of Children with Down Syndrome
Syndrome with tax-exempt status. We provide the Early Intervention Programme for children with
Down Syndrome from 2 months – 6 years old.
Annually we require a minimum of RM650,000 to operate the Centre. To manage and run the
Centre well, we need to continue to appeal to the public for their generosity and support as our
Centre is largely dependent on public donations. Besides that annually we have to organize
fundraising events to help generate more funds for our Centre.
Unlike the previous years, this year we will be organizing a Marathon Line Dance which we hope
can last for 10 hours. Our Marathon Line Dance of 10 hours may be the longest marathon Line
Dancing organized in Malaysia. We would like to invite Line Dance Teachers together with their
students to join us in this meaningful and charitable event. Our target is to raise not less than
RM50,000 and we expect to have a record breaking number of 1,500 dancers. Each dancer will
have to pay an entrance fee of RM35.00 to participate in the line dancing which would include a Tshirt
and a goody bag of interesting items.
We are therefore writing this letter to appeal to you, your students and friends to support us and
make our Marathon Line Dance event a success.
Please feel free to contact our organizing committee members, should you need any further
assistance: Mr Chua Caik Leng (019-3135710), Mrs Hwang (012-3605575), Mr Lee Kuan Yong
