This January, Australia announced its 2011 Line Dance Awards. The awards signifies and recognises achievements in the line dancing circle Down Under. Based on the results of the 2011 Australian Line Dance Awards announced o 27 Jan, the major winners are:
Australian Open Dance of the Year - Man of My Word by Darren & Jenny Hughes
International Dance of the Year - Alabama Slammin' by Rachael McEnaney (UK)
Australian Choreographer of the Year - Simon Ward
International Choreographer of the Year - Rachael McEnaney
Australian Instructor of the Year - Tom Glover & Liz Collett (tie)
Australian Easy Dance Of The Year - Beethoven Boogie by Gordon Elliott
