We’re heading back to sunny Orlando, Florida for Worlds 2015 and we’re going to make some really nice changes to our Line Dance program...
First, we’re going to build our line dance program around the weekend (mostly Friday to Sunday) with kickoff activities beginning on Thursday. Not only will the workshop schedule and open dancing be built around those days, but we’ve scheduled the Line Dance competition divisions on those days as well. This will give everyone another line dance activity to enjoy while not occupied taking classes or social dancing.
A second change we’re making is to drop the qualification criteria for the Choreography contests. So…to all you choreographers out there please bring your new dances to Worlds! We’ll have contests in both Country and non-Country music categories, and in New./Novice and Int./Advanced skill levels (there’s an open ABC division too). Of course we’ll have money prizes...
We’ve got other ideas... on how to build a friendlier Worlds event.
